Biden falls off the metaphorical bicycle

In this week Raison round tableeditors Matt Welch, Peter Suderman, Katherine Mangu Wardand Nick Gillespie discuss President Joe Biden’s failed policy statements and abysmal approval ratings.

1:35 a.m.: Biden botches inflation, gas prices, taxes and cycling.

29:21: Weekly question from listeners: Even though most of you, if not all of you, are resigned to the fate that we will never see a Libertarian president elected, those of you who generally vote still vote for the Libertarian candidate, as I understand it. So my naively hypothetical question is: if a libertarian was ever elected president, what realistic things you would like to see on their “First 100 Days”? The online libertarian crowd, of course, likes to post regularly on Abolish the Fed, cancel CIA funding, dismantle the ATF and more. Yet, in reality, not all libertarian wishes can be granted with the power of a pen and a telephone. Rightly so, notice. Even a well-meaning, freedom-minded dictator is still a dictator, but there are things presidents can do that would be progressive steps toward a society with more freedom. The first thing that comes to mind is to use executive pardon abilities for Edward Snowden and Julian Assange, but the list certainly doesn’t end there. So I’m very interested to hear your libertarian presidential wish list ranging from complete anarchy like KMW would have it to Nick’s probably entirely drug-related list to Peter’s state apologist desires and cocktail party demands , and even whatever baseball mandates and classic rock reforms Matt would ask for.

40:35: Polarization in the wake of the Supreme Court’s upcoming decision on abortion.
